There is one (1) Senate seat available for the Odum School of Ecology and one (1) candidate running.
Major(s)/Minor(s): Majors: Ecology and Political Science; Minors: Spanish, Environmental Law, Personal Health and Well-Being
The student body will benefit from my involvement in the Student Government Association because I will continue to support
legislation that improves student well-being. As Odum’s senator, I prioritize creating and voting for legislation that addresses the wants and needs of ecology students. Even though I would continue to represent Odum, I would keep collaborating with other senators to increase campus sustainability and make UGA greener for all.
- Expanding the Lab Coat Lending Initiative: Odum currently has a lab coat lending initiative that rents out lab coats to students free of charge each semester. I am currently creating legislation that expands this program to all UGA students.
- Increasing funding for the Office of Sustainability: I am also currently working on legislation that would increase funding for the Office of Sustainability so they can provide students with more sustainability grants for projects, increase campus waste reduction (more composting, etc.), and create more sustainability programs.
- Install solar-powered e-micromobility charging stations across campus: UGA currently has no charging stations for e-bikes/scooters. Installing solar-powered charging
stations would allow students to charge their e bikes/scooters in a sustainable and efficient manner.
