First Year Programs
Connect is an advocacy body responsible for representing the concerns of the First-Year class through the proposal and implementation of various campus initiatives. Members of Connect will work closely with members of the Executive Cabinet to actively pursue change on campus while fulfilling the platform of the current administration. Connect will be comprised of no greater than thirty-six and no fewer than twenty-eight first-time first-year students.
Forum is an advocacy body that seeks to represent the First-Year class in the Athens and University of Georgia community through service and community projects as well as building servant leaders. Forum will be comprised of no greater than one-hundred first-time first-year students.
First-Year Senators is an advocacy body comprised of no greater than twenty and no fewer than the proportional number of first-time first-year students. First-year Senators represent the concerns of the First-Year class in the Student Government Association's Legislative branch by drafting and presenting meaningful legislation on behalf of their class.
Please complete this application in its entirety. All applications are due by Monday, August 19th, at 11:59 p.m. In addition to this online application, you must sign up for an interview. A link to interview signups will become available no later than 24 hours after the application deadline; a link will be provided to you via email. No late applications will be accepted under any circumstances. (Note: Not all applicants will move forward to the interview portion of the First-Year Programs selection process.)
