“The only time I ever hear about student government is during elections.” There currently exists a large disconnect between SGA and the rest of the student body. While the organization may contribute to big changes at UGA, rarely do students ever hear about our initiatives. We want to bridge the gap by reaching out to every corner of campus to not only disseminate information but listen to the real experiences of UGA students. Through each of our three years of experience at UGA, we intend to amplify the voices of every Bulldog. Our background in SGA is rooted in outreach. We have hosted town halls to solicit student feedback; we have read and responded to input from the Student Suggestion Box; and we have served the student body directly through SGA’s Fresh Express Food Pantry and Professional Clothing Closet. Beyond this, we have experience in greek life, professional organizations, club sports, college-affiliated organizations, among so many others. We’ve heard your experiences, and now we’re ready to keep listening. We have also committed ourselves to listening to UGA administration, faculty, and staff. In promising each of the initiatives below, we are also promising the strong relationships we have with the stakeholders needed to get them done. While keeping our promises, we are excited to act as a champion for students, bridging the gap between administrators and the voices of every Bulldog. To keep students informed, we will send frequent updates throughout the year. Because everyone receives their news in different ways, we are prepared to meet students where they are through the creation of liaisons with clubs and organizations, monthly email updates, social media posts, and tabling events across campus. Through these efforts, we look forward to a continuous relationship that extends beyond SGA elections
During our term in office, our primary focuses will be on safety and mobility, wellbeing, and affordability. Through a partnership with UGA Safety and Athens-Clarke County, we intend to install lighting and emergency alert systems on and near campus. Concentrated near student housing, these lights will increase the safety of pedestrians at all hours of the day. To accommodate early and late schedules, we will advocate for parking passes for every student employee. We will also push for more commuter parking lots central to campus to reduce commute times for students living off-campus. With mental health becoming a growing concern on campus, addressing concerns like anxiety and chronic stress is a key priority for our administration. We will work with Student Care & Outreach, CAPS, the Fontaine Center, Academic Advising, and other units to secure access to long-term care, a stronger culture of work-life balance via discouragement of weekend deadlines, and increased meeting capabilities to accommodate more students at once. To promote a more affordable UGA experience, we will collaborate with Auxiliary Services and UGA Athletics to allow Paw Points for purchases in Sanford Stadium. We also strive to increase access to expensive professional resources for students such as expanded subscriptions to Adobe Premium, LinkedIn Premium, and Science Guyz. While these are our priorities, our work does not end there. As the voice of every Bulldog, we will act on any and every concern that arises.

The student body will benefit from the Reimagine ticket’s involvement in SGA because we are committed to strengthening student life through more trusted communication, greater affordability, and clearer access to resources. Our approach centers on reimagining how SGA connects with students by improving outreach across campus and making student priorities, progress, and decisions more visible and easier to understand. By pairing strong communication with a focus on academic affordability, student quality of life, and early support, we aim to empower students with information and access that make a real difference day to day. Ultimately, our goal is to build trust by ensuring SGA’s work is transparent, accessible, and aligned with what students experience and need.
- Transportation and Parking Relief: We will focus on immediate transportation relief by expanding Food for Fines and piloting flexible parking options such as split parking passes for MWF and TTh schedules.
- Academic Affordability: We will reduce academic cost barriers by expanding access to graduate exam preparation resources for GRE, MCAT, and LSAT exams, along with shared academic tools.
- Legal and Early Support Navigation: We will expand access to early, practical guidance by partnering with UGA Law and psychology graduate programs to help students navigate legal, academic, and personal challenges through clearer support pathways.
