Freshman Welcome

Freshman Welcome is a relatively new event on the UGA campus. In collaboration with the Student Alumni Council and other organizations and departments, the purpose of Freshman Welcome is to formally welcome the incoming class of students to UGA. Held in Sanford Stadium, the students have the opportunity to participate in a class picture on the field of Sanford Stadium. President Michael Adams and Head Football Coach Mark Richt have attended in the past to participate in the event and provide words of encouragement to the new students.
