Elections Procedures 2012

Greetings Students!

Welcome to the Elections Section or the Student Government Association of the University of Georgia. Elections are held each year during the Spring. This past year, SGA has reformed its election code to make it easier than ever to run for office. If you are interested in running for a position in the upcoming elections, please take a few minutes to read through the documents found on this page. The paperwork needed to run will be released on February 13, 2012 and can be submitted until April 6, 2012. However, campaigning first begins on March 20, 2012 so get your paperwork in early to get a jump on the game!

IMPORTANT!

In addition to filling out your paperwork, you must attend one of the following meetings to be eligible for candidacy:

Candidate Seminars: March 26th, April 2nd, April 4th - All seminars will take place in Tate 137 at 7 PM.

If you are running for an executive position, you will need to attend an executive seminar:

Executive Seminars: March 26th, April 2nd, April 4th - All seminars will take place in Tate 137 at 8 PM.
